A Most Unusual Small Pair of 19th Century Cast Iron Chimney Ornaments, or Hearth Stands

Beautifully modelled and cast, the pair of lions facing towards each other, with thick heavy manes, muscular bodies and legs, and standing on scrolled bases. The lions have never been painted, and remain with the original soft patina.
