A Very Decorative Pair of Early 19th Century Carved and Gilded Candlesticks
Having a circular "drip tray", above a well-detailed triangular-shaped carved and faceted colunn, terminating in out-facing scrolled feet. Retaining the original gold gilt, which has mellowed to a lovely rich patina.
Later converted to table lamps.
The shades are hand-stitched, with both damask silk linings and covers, which are fluted.
Height without the shade 19 inches, height with the shade 30 inches.
